Yarn sale - all I can say is WOW..

This weekend was spent Salsa dancing, knitting, and buying YARN (less than a week before Stitches mind you.)

Friday after beading, I got home and quickly changed to go to Guarapos with my salsaking (aka dbf.) His band is really good and they do a lot of improvising. I spent the evening with three other girls and we danced the evening away. Before the band really got into it, I was working on some swatches for my Stitches class and the band singer was so MAD! He started annoucing to everyone that I should be at home if I was going to knit (thank god he said it in Spanish so most people didn't understand.) His girlfriend yelled back defending me (she has a friend who knits everywhere they go.) It was quite interesting.

Salsa Night at Guarapos

On Saturday, there was a HUGE yarn sale at Capital Yarns. I got there around 11:30 and made out like a bandit! They had Classic Elite Bamboo (normally $8.25 a ball) for $2 a ball!! This is what I am planning to make with it:

Future project for Dani

I also bought yarn (not on sale) to make Lilith from KidLin yarn by Louet. All I can say is gorgous - the yarn is made with Linen and Kid Mohair. I have been swatching and I am loving it!

I want to end this post with a shout out to my friend Judy. She just finished her first marathon yesterday! Congrats Judy! :)

What a bargain! I love the yarn, especially the red for Lilith.

Looks like you had a fab night out.

Wow, how hot that your dbf is in a salsa band! I think the band singer owes you an apology.

Looks like you scored some great yarns!
