Serpentine Around the Petunias
Pattern: Lacy Serpentine Scarf by Heartstrings Fiber Arts
Yarn: Schaefer Anne purchased at Uniquities in Vienna, VA
Needle Size: 3.5mm (US size 4)
Started: April 2007
Finished: August 2007
Notes: There is a small mistake in the chart at the end of the pattern, but other than that, this scarf was a very easy knit. It is knit lengthwise so once you get in a rhythm, the lace is very easy. I took a long break with this scarf and picked it back up this month because I promised myself that I would finish it before I could start on my next project. This will be a great scarf for the winter and should go with a lot of my jackets. Next time, I would probably use a softer yarn as this is a little scratchy against my skin, even after washing.
In other news, Svetlana nominated me for a Rockin' Girl Blogger. Thank you Sveta! :) I now get to nominate 5 other gals (in no particular order):
- Judy - amazing beader, spinner and knitter all in one
- Kim from Dr. Girlfriend Knits - her blog was the first knitting blog I found when I started to knit back in 2005 - she continues to post great projects 2 years later! :)
- Paloma from Lomester - she has a great blog and she sent me my invite to Ravelry so she DEFINITELY rocks! :)
- Olga from Knit Creations of a Curious Mind - Olga is a talented designer and knitter who never ceases to amaze me
- Kaitie (formal Law School and Knitting) now anodyne - she is now done with law school so she ROCKS!
Go on gals, pick up your button and start rockin'!

Beautiful scarf! Can you believe I still haven't done any lace knitting?

Fabulous scarf :D
That's incredibly pretty.
oh, beautiful...
I love that scarf! I have that pattern, too, and am so glad to see it still looks great with other yarn. It's perfect for variegated yarns, isn't it? Lovely!
